THIRD SON OF WILLM. ORMSBY GORE, ESQ., M.P., OF PORKINGTON,
WHO FELL IN ACTION WITH THE CAFFRES,
AT THE HEAD OF HIS COMPANY,
ON THE SIXTH OF APRIL 1852, AT 'ANTA'S CAVE'
BRITISH CAFFRARIA
AS A MARK OF THEIR EFFECTIONATE REGARD.

THIS MONUMENT
WAS ERECTED BY HIS BROTHER OFFICERS.
