This video demonstrates how to do it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5cA3ldBzKo but I suspect that we need a new BBcode tag the creation for which one needs administrator status.

[Edit] Here is a clearer tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxce5nKIe5k

Here it is, copied from the "edit" window....

*EDIT*

That is very interesting.... I am having a hard time actually getting the code to type out.... I have added an "s" to each "youtube"...

[youtubes]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKHz0DLmrfA[/youtubes]

And here is one with the pasted url.... note the addition of the "s" after the "http" on the newer clip.....

Rob, I added the terminating square bracket and it worked.

Stuart,

I edited the post above... there seems to be an additional "s" in the url..... maybe that has something to do with newer embeds...?

So I used the youtube button in the typing window and pasted the url in between.... there is the "s" after the "http"..... I removed the "s" and the embed popped up.....

Maybe that's it???

Here is one I tried earlier without success but using the "iframe" etc. code from youtube Share and Embed.

Stuart

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tqxzWdKKu8[/youtube - this is to keep the code as an example but without the terminating "]"

Well it beats me as that brings me to the limit of my knowledge on the subject but at least we can embed videos - at least for the time being :D

These "challenges" are very interesting if a solution can be found. It would be good if a more knowledgeable member could enlighten us all as to why the youtube "Embed" code does not work and why http rather than https.

BTW: I edited my original post removing the "s" and it still did not work.
