Undress Frock Pattern

Postby NemoMcN » 01 Apr 2015 15:48

Good morning,

I am looking to take on a sewing project, would anybody know of a good source for a pattern to make a red serge undress frock cir. early 1860s? All I really have to go by at the moment for what I am looking to reproduce is plate D2 and E2 in the Osprey Man at Arms Series "The British Army on Campaign 1818-1902 (3). pages 28-29.

There are companies out there selling patterns to sew similar shell jackets and sack coats for American Civil War reenactors, and I suppose I could find a close pattern and modify it as necessary, but I thought I would ask those in the know if they knew of a better source.

Cheers,
- Brian
