Household guards tunic age.

This is labeled as 1930s. Just wondering if anyone can explain how one can discern this from an older victorian era frock. For future reference.

I am no expert but the rank badges on the shoulder would be worth investigating. I think shoulder badges only came in during WW1? And the Stars look like ordinary bath stars - the Guards regiments got their own unique rank stars in 1919.

I am sure there is someone with more knowledge who can give you a more detailed answer - good luck!
