Solferino 24th June 1859

Postby Jack Lark » 30 Dec 2014 15:28

I am currently working on something based around the Battle of Solferino. If any members happen to have come across any first hand accounts translated into English then I would love to hear from them. I also wonder if anyone has come across any references to British officers sent along as observers.
Many thanks

I cannot help but think observers would have been present as this was the case of the Napoleonic wars.

I started a thread to try and collect names but so far none have appeared for Solferino, though there was a chap who observed Garibaldi's campaigns.

Not sure about first hand accounts I'm afraid.

Josh.
