The Literature of The Volunteers of 1859

Postby ResearchPress » 05 Nov 2017 07:57

I have now posted two articles written by W.S. Curtis on the above:

Part 1 - The Urge To Volunteer, 1850 To 1859 - A study of the books influencing the Volunteer Movement must, of necessity, commence with those appearing during the years leading up to 1859.
Part 2 - The Volunteers Take Shape - To meet the demands of Volunteers of 1859 many books appeared discussing technical aspects of the Enfield rifle and ammunition, plus drill.

There's another two parts to be published.
