A fellow collector says it is a Bavarian sabre M 1806 for police officers. It should have a blade monogramm "MJK" .

Hi Ploughman,
For some reason I am unable to add photos, the sword is 83.5 cm overall with a 70.0 cm blade and the only mark is "SOLINGEN".

Derek.
