Spammer Deleted

Postby Mark » 02 Sep 2013 17:33

Hi All

Sadly a spammer managed to get through our safety net and post five spam posts. Thankfully this does not happen often but they do get through from time to time.

Can I thank the eagle-eyed members who spotted the spam and alerted me to the problem? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Picked up a Spammer.

Postby Josh&Historyland » 25 Sep 2013 16:02

Just drawing attention to the fact I think the forum has picked up a spammer selling phones, I have reported each of his three posts, but can take no further action as I am not a moderator. So Form square and prepare to recieve spammers!

Can't be sure but I think a spammer got through, don't want to press the link to see where it leads as I don't trust it, but it looks off topic, check the last post on the "Russian experiences in the Crimea #2 with link to #1"

This is just the link to the post.

Thanks for the heads-up, Josh! Definitely a spambot or at least a human spammer. He has now been kicked.

His IP address leads to Russia which is a mix of genuine users and spammers and thus a difficult call when approving membership.

Above doesn't look too good to me either. Please forgive me if I am being a bit suspicious.
