How to upload an image to use as your avatar

Postby Mark » 05 May 2008 21:02

If anyone would like an 'avatar' but is having problems resizing a picture or uploading it please post the image in this section (or email me) and I will sort it out for you.

Please note I will regulary clean up and delete old posts from this section once avatars are put in place.

Hi Mark,
I found that using a small program called resize2mail was very easy to use, much easier than photobucket. I mucked about with that program for weeks and really couldn't get it to work properly (I am probably dumb) but the resize program was instant. Can you please let me know what the maximum permitted size is for the Avatar.

1) Click the User Control Panel link towards the top-left of the forum screen.

2) Once the User Control Panel page has loaded click the Profile tab.

3) Click the Edit avatar link.

You can then browse for and upload your image.

*Please note: Maximum dimensions; width: 120 pixels, height: 120 pixels, file size: 29.30 Kb.

Hope that helps...

Thank you Mark, appreciate it.

I was also wondering if there was a published bibliography for the period somewhere on the website. Could not find it if there is one.

We do not have a reading list, but we do have a section dedicated to books and research materials:
