The Victorian Military Society (VMS) is for those interested in the military history of the Victorian period and the early part of the twentieth century between 1837 and 1914. While the Society is principally concerned with the forces of the British Empire and its adversaries, it does not exclude other armies. Research is encouraged and the results, together with items of interest are published in its quarterly illustrated magazine, Soldiers of the Queen. Matters of more immediate interest (e.g. “what’s on” auction reports, member’s adverts and queries) are circulated in its e-newsletter, Soldier's Small Book sent out every other month.

Subscriptions are £25 (UK) or £30 (rest of the world) and you can join or get further details by emailing info@victorianmilitarysociety.org.uk

You can also visit the VMS web site at: http://www.victorianmilitarysociety.org.uk/

Just to make forum members aware, I am myself a member of the VMS and can whole heartedly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of joining. The SOTQ magazine is an excellent read!
