Can anyone tell me if these helmets are post 1902. Thanks a bunch.

I would like to see pics of exterior and interior together - the pics posted have got me confused. Having said that, pic no. 1 could well be Victorian.pic 2 and 3 are recent manufacture. Pic 4 looks French? Not British?

I have to agree with RobD in that further photos are required but I think that pic4 is more likely American having only 4 seams.

Interior shots would be most helpful for the last helmet.

Hello Chaps

I would agree with Stuart that Pic No 4 is American Ie Pattern 1887 or 95 these are plentiful and do confuse people, many get listed wrongly on certain seller sites as British.

The four seam was indeed used by the British during the Boer war but looked very different as the seams was positioned just off centre seen in the image below of 'Other Ranks 1899'. not quarter central seams like the US version.

Also mainly the US used 10 cork spacers the Brits 8

British Four Seam Below...Notice the seam is not central to the panel like the US version.

The other Sun hat looks modern in circa ? looks like it has adjustable head band ?
