Hi, can anyone confirm that the soldier on the right side of the photo is wearing an Artillery Uniform c1899?
Also are the other soldiers in the same unit? He went off to the Boer War.
How would he have travelled there and where could I find what conditions were like when he arrived?
Thanks
Rick

Hello,

To give a simple answer to your question, yes all three soldiers would appear to be artillerymen, certainly compatible with the year stated.

Quick check of medal rolls and service papers - Ancestry & FindmyPast will confirm unit and war service.
