Ladies/Gents,

Please forgive my ignorance on this subject, but I'm curious to know Naval medal with this clasp, is it possible that he would have been the crew of a Gatling Gun or Gardner Gun, or did the navy have other personnel deployed at the battle?

If the medal is named to a member of the Royal Navy, as opposed to a Royal Marine, then there is a very strong likelihood of your man serving on the guns mentioned.
