No luck in my copies of " Sudan Notes & Records " but then Umm Diwaykarat is a bit beyond my field of interest. I would suggest;
1) Contacting the University of Durham who have a complete run of the journal.
2) Read Wingate's after-action report, possibly available on-line, for probably the best and most balanced overview.
3) Contact the Royal Marine's Museum in Eastney as three RMA NCO's received the DCM or bar for manning the Maxims at the action and they may have left behind diaries, letters, etc.
