An interesting reference to a Dr Glanville or Granville? appointed War Artist with Colonel Durnford's column during the Zulu wars.

Dr. Doyle Glanville, served as a civilian surgeon during the Zulu War, initially with Durnford's No. 2 Column, subsequently served with Wood's No. 4 Column.

He supplied sketches for the illustrated newspaper The Graphic.
