Indian Mutiny Bibliography

Postby Harold Raugh » 22 Dec 2015 11:02

Greetings,

After being delayed, my Indian Mutiny bibliography is now scheduled for a mid-January 2016 publication by Helion & Co. in the UK. It can be pre-ordered on Amazon.com or from the publisher's website.

Title: The Raugh Bibliography of the Indian Mutiny, 1857-1859
ISBN-10: 1910777218
ISBN-13: 978-1910777213

This is quite an extensive compilation of many thousands of primary and secondary published and unpublished sources. My manuscript numbered 1,040 pages. I have been told this is quite a definitive bibliography and well worth the money. You can decide for yourself!

I am now working on a Sikh Wars bibliography for the same publisher, and would definitely welcome (and will list in the published volume) suggestions and contributions from everyone! Many thanks!

Happy holidays from Seoul, South Korea,

Hi Maureene,

Thank you for your kind words. This Indian Mutiny bibliography is actually the result of about six diligent years of work, considerably more than my earlier Egypt/Sudan (2008) and Zulu War (2011) bibliographies. I am hoping it is of use and value to our fellow military historians and enthusiasts, and encourages additional research.

All the best,
Harold

Harold

Has the Mutiny bibliography been published yet? I searched for it at Foyles and the NA bookshop and on the British Library catalogue, without success, during my recent stay in UK. No time to check at the newly opened NAM, unfortunately.

Were you the person responsible for the virtually unknown J.C. Parry siege of Lucknow account being digitalized by the British Library? If so, thanks very much.

Best
