I struck out even using my favourite source for battlefields and towns in India - The Imperial Gazetteer of India : http://dsal.uchicago.edu/reference/gazetteer/

Cheers

Jon

PS have just found Nawabganj ( on road to Cawnpore/ Kanpur) listed for Volume 2 of Kayes & Mallesons History of The India Mutiny pps 226 -233 plus vol 5 pp 186.

Can,t access hard copies at moment. May have been digitised
Jon

PPS now see you were after maps. Fortesque might be worth checking

There is a FIBIS Fibiwiki page Battle of Nawabgunge
http://wiki.fibis.org/index.php?title=B ... Nawabgunge

Includes some links, that to the History of the Rifle Brigade doesn't work properly now, but here is an alternative version
http://www.archive.org/stream/historyof ... 6/mode/2up (page 387)
