The National Archives: Looking for records of the Crimean War
This is a brief guide to researching British government and military records of the Crimean War. Crimean War records are wide-ranging, sporadic and are kept in a variety of places. This guide will help you gain a general overview of the main sources of the information that exists, and where to find it. This guide is for people interested in the subject of the Crimean War as opposed to those interested in finding a specific person

Hello,
Just wondering if others can see similarities currently in process between the Syrian issues with the U. K. and France becoming involved and the Politics of the Crimea. Both Russia and Turkey were involved then and are now.

As often is the case history does repeat itself. Can we be careful here though as I don't want to get into modern day politics on the forum.
